A FISHY FOUR WEEKS!

There were 23 (!!!) fish caught on the Lower Dess beat whilst I was on annual leave. The largest was 12 lbs with several runners up around the 10lb mark. Five of five

This very nice 8lb salmon was caught yesterday by Mr. Richard Pursglove with a Munro Killer fly. This was the fifth fish caught on the Lower Dess beat this week. Excellent River Conditions

Thanks to the fantastic weather we are currently enjoying at Lower Dess, the snow is melting and, as a result, the river is at a good height and very clear. Quite a few fish are showing too so tight lines for the coming week.

  Mill Cottage Amazingly, the Rod Room (whose windows are almost obscured by flood water in the photo below) has been repainted, refurbished and will be back in action for the start of the season on Monday.
